Television host, author and journalist Aaron Sagers never misses an opportunity to hug a cute little potcake puppy. In fact, not only has he made sure to stop into the Potcake Place during each of his last several annual visits to the islands, but in 2015 he adopted Indiana – the now playful sibling to his NYC pup Roxy.

During his most recent visit, he not only played surrogate papa, he took on the role as delivery man. Sagers donated food, food and drink bowls, treats, leashes and bandanas from Tito’s Vodka courtesy of their “Vodka for Dog People” charity. The supplies were a welcome treat for the dog rescue charity headquartered in the Saltmills Plaza.

Potcake Place’s primary focus is finding homes for stray island pups known as Potcakes. A volunteer-driven charity, they encourage island visitors to stop by and help socialize the puppies. So on your next visit, be sure to share a little love with a pup in need.
