Turks and Caicos is set to receive a convenient boost to its expanding airlift this sum­mer, adding a new American Airlines weekly nonstop between Providenciales and New York City via JFK International Airport.
The new seasonal nonstop, announced by American and the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority in April, will operate only on weekends. Travelers from New York (JFK) will arrive on Provo (PLS) at 8:08 p.m. on Saturday, with the return leg departing the following morning at 8:45 a.m.
The service will operate from July 2 to Aug. 21, then return from hiatus between Nov. 5 and March 5.
Adding a Saturday arrival “is very much welcome,” said Lavern Reynolds, TCIAA Terminal and Marketing Manager.
